This is the virtue of Fasting in the Month of Dhu al-Hijjah You Must Know

Bismillah – Friends of Santri whose blessings are blessed by Allah SWT. in this post we will summarize some of the virtues of fasting in the month of Dhulhijjah which of course hopefully will encourage us to practice it. Amen
Alright friend of students, that the Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said in the hadith narrated by Imam Al Bukhari, Ahmad, Abu Daud, and At Turmudzi;

“There is no day when a pious deed is more beloved by Allah than pious deeds carried out in these ten days (the first 10 Dhu al-Hijjah).”

“The Companions asked: O Messenger of Allah, including more important than jihad fi sabilillah?”

The Prophet sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said:” Including more important than jihad fi sabilillah. Except for those who come out with their souls and property (to the field of jihad), and no one returns (dies and their property is taken by the enemy). “
Imam An Nawawi in the Sahih Muslim Syarah book stated, in the early days of Dhu al-Hijjah, it was highly recommended to fast, “fasting is among the most important practices.”
Furthermore, in the Book of Al-Majmu ’Syarh al-Muhadzdzab, Imam An-Nawawi also later gave a valid proposition regarding the Shari’a fasting. Namely the hadith narrated from the wives of the Prophet SAW follows:

“From Hunaidah ibn Khalid, from his wife, from the wives of the Prophet SAW, they said,” The Messenger of Allah used to fast nine days in Dhul-Hijjah, fast on Ashura, fast three days in each month, fast the first Monday and also Thursday in every the month “. (Narrated by Abu Dawud, Ahmad and Nasa’i. Ahmad and Nasa’i added,” and two thursday “. (An Nawawi, Al-Majmu ‘, page. 387 vol. 6)

A glorious day when forgiveness of sin and deliverance from the torment of hell. On that day, the noble practice of fasting is celebrated. This fast is dedicated to those who do not perform Hajj.
Friend of Santri, we summarize the virtues of the fast of Dhul-Hijjah as follows from the history of Ibn Abbas from the hadith of the Prophet SAW:
1. The 1st Dzulhijjah: Allah forgives the mistakes of the Prophet Adam as. Whoever fasts on that day, God will forgive his sins.

2. Dzulhijjah 2: Allah answered the prayer of Jonah, so that Jonah could come out of the belly of the fish that swallowed it. Whoever fasts on that day, will be rewarded as the reward of worshiping God for a full year without any gap (disobedience) at all.

3. Dzulhijjah 3rd: Allah granted the Prophet Zakariya’s prayer. Whoever fasts on that day, God answers his prayers.

4. 4th Dhul-Hijjah: The day of the birth of Prophet Isa. Whoever fasts on that day, will be kept away from misery, poverty, and on the Day of Judgment will be gathered together with noble people.

5. 5th Dhul-Hijjah: The day of the birth of the Prophet Musa. Whoever fasts on that day, he will be free from the hypocritical nature and be saved from the torment of the grave.

6. The 6th Dzulhijjah: The day Allah gave goodness to the Prophet Muhammad. Whoever fasts on that day, God gives mercy to him and will not be tormented forever.

7. The 7th Dhul-Hijjah: Allah closes the gates of hell and is not opened so that it passes through the 10th day of the month of Dhul-Hijjah. Whoever fasts on that day, then Allah will cover 30 difficulties that will befall him and open 30 conveniences for him.

8. The 8th of Dhu al-Hijjah: Whoever fasts on Tarwiyah Day, will get an immeasurable reward and only Allah knows about it.

9. On the 9th of Dhulhiijah: Whoever fasts on the day of Arafat, Allah will take away the sin of two years, that is, the year before and the year after that.

Thus Santri, a description that we can summarize from several sources. May be useful.
